Description

This describes the necessary steps to convert the OpenSKOS CCR dump (RDF/XML) developed in 2016 into a Turtle file which can be imported into SKOSMOS. The necessary steps for the 2016 SKOSMOS dump are:

  • string replace 'lang="0"' to 'lang="en"'

  • skosify (http://demo.seco.tkk.fi/skosify/skosify) the the xml to ttl for easier editing and some small repars

  • replace dc:title by rdfs:label for the Collection definitions

    • dc:title xml:lang="0">DASISH facets and fields</dc:title> 

  • replace all the "skos:hasTopConcept" by "skos:member" for Collections

  • add @en to all Collection labels

  • add rdfs and openskos to the ttl namespace declarations

  • Use the Skosify service (step 2) to check again.

The conversion process was tested on the RDF/XML format only.  However, it could be useful for other OpenSKOS dumps.
